More Music Success!

A little belated, but a massive well done to Joanna Sawford and Flaminio who won the Novice Freestyle Qualifier at Sparsholt College on 3rd September with 72.22% and have qualified for the Winter Regionals. Jo uses music created by me.

Neglected blog....

Well I have been neglecting my blog recently, as I have been very busy over the summer. One of my jobs is Dressage Organiser for Sparsholt College and so I have been flat out running the events there. However, I was rewarded by winning a BD Show Award 2011, a sign of excellence.

On the client front, everyone is progressing well and I have been enjoying working with everyone over the summer. There have been some changes Hailey has bought Pico from another clients of mine and they are really jelling as a combination - cracking on with the lateral work and have started changes - top hat and tails for her in the future!

Client Success

The last few weeks has seen Susie Hexton - who I produced a freestyle routine for, qualify for the Winter Regionals with just under 71%, the pair then went onto achieve 72.5% on their next outing - well done Susie! Also Katie James has achieved a great 70% (and a win) and a 67% to finish her Regionals Novice qualification, which is great news.

Meeka continues to improve for Hailey (following his fracture) and Julie and Byron are going great guns and the improvement has been massive. Dawn and her ex racehorse Vino are doing well in their showing career and have started introducing some dressage tests and Angela is really getting to grips with her new loan horse (following the injury to the lovely Rocky).

I have various other new clients who are showing great improvement and it is lovely to work with them all.

I have been busy recently with various music programmes and designing choreography for clients so they receive the complete package. I have recently done programmes from Novice to PSG and it has been great finding music that enhances the performance and puts a smile on the clients faces.

All clients are coming along really well and it has been lovely recently to see Hailey Wilder back on Meeka after he has recovered from a fracture - onwards and upwards. Well done to everyone for all your hard work.

Oz see's the vet

After over a week of no progress the vet came to see Oz yesterday. I did think that he would say there was nothing we could do, but after assessing him he advised to try bute, exercise and turnout everyday. Some horses with foot lameness issues go through a difficult transitional phase when they are coming back into work (he has been off due to the snow and then a facial lump). So the plan is to persevere for 3 weeks to give him one last chance. He did enjoy the millions of apples and treats I took him yesterday though :)

Heartbreakingly Oz went last last Saturday. We have tried box rest which hasn't improved the lameness and have also now tried rest and turnout. At the moment nothing is improving the situation and he remains lame in both front legs. I hope he responds.
