Unlock Your Potential - Flexible Training to Meet Your Needs

Psychology/Neurolinguistic Programming

Having a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), I have the necessary skills and experience to ensure you perform to your maximum ability, overcome confidence issues, resolve competition nerves, work through problems and learn to get the most out of your horse and your riding.

NLP can help riders in a number of ways; e.g.

1. Modelling - Observing body positioning, thought patterns and behaviour of experts and using this as a blue print for our desired behaviour.

2. Helps us to understand how our own thinking and behaviour affects our experience. Through this awareness we can change our behaviour.

3. Identifies common success strategies.

If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got.

  • What we repeat we reinforce
  • What we allow our horse to do, we allow him to learn
  • There is no failure only feedback
  • Modelling leads to excellence
  • If it isn't working, do something different.

Though knowledge and experience we can work out what style of learner you are and so I can train you accordingly. The different ways people learn are;

Visual type : You need to see how something is done to understand it.

Aural type:  You learn just by having something explained to you.

Kinaesthetic type:  You need to feel it, touch it, work it out for yourself.
